Health & Community Disclaimer
Last updated: July 30, 2026
MaoniMom is a community of mothers sharing their own personal experiences — in written stories, audio, and community rooms. This page explains, plainly, what that means and doesn’t mean.
This is not medical advice
Nothing on MaoniMom — no article, audio story, community post, product description, or care box — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. What you read here is one mother’s real experience, not a professional’s guidance for your specific situation. Every body, pregnancy, birth, and baby is different. Always talk to your own doctor, midwife, lactation consultant, or mental health provider before making decisions about your health or your child’s health.
When we do involve professionals
Where our content touches health topics directly, we aim to have it reviewed by licensed professionals — but even reviewed content is general information, not personalized medical care. If something you read here conflicts with what your own provider tells you, follow your provider’s guidance.
In an emergency
If you or your baby are experiencing a medical emergency, or if you are having thoughts of harming yourself or your child, do not wait for a response on MaoniMom. In the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. Outside the US, contact your local emergency services immediately.
The Quiet Room
The Quiet Room holds some of the hardest stories mothers share — pregnancy and infant loss, NICU stays, and medically complex beginnings. It is always free, never gated, and never a place where products are sold or promoted. Everything shared there is, like everywhere else on MaoniMom, personal experience — not medical guidance.
Community posts & comments
Posts and comments from other members reflect their own views and experiences, not the views of MaoniMom. We don’t verify the medical accuracy of community posts, and we encourage you to bring anything health-related back to your own provider before acting on it.
